A CEO of a small business had sold his businesses to a larger more corporate organisation. The CEO had agreed to remain but had not appreciated just how much his role would change during the transition. Instead of being his own boss, he now reported into two further layers of management.
Instead of being his own boss, he now reported into two further layers of management.
The CEO had worked independently for years having grown his successful business to a turnover of £15m. He was finding it difficult with a new boss and each of them working in different locations. He was feeling stifled and it was affecting his productivity and motivation.
We worked through some of the issues he was experiencing including working styles, communications, expectations, and his own ambitions. By working through these over the course of a few months and using some tried and tested techniques we enabled the CEO to manage the situation more positively, improve revenue and find a solid and rewarding role for himself.
